Daniel Martin
Dan has worked as a performance nutritionist since 2012 occupying consultancy roles within Olympic, professional, and elite sport.
His current work embodies three main strands: football, motorsport, and horseracing. Within football he is a consultant to a Premier League football club whilst working privately to other Premier League, Championship, and International footballers. He is Head of Sports Science and Performance Coaching to a Formula 1 race team in addition working as a private performance nutritionist to other F1 drivers and drivers of other motorsport category such as as WEC. Alongside these he maintains his long standing work in horseracing where he is Head of Industry Nutrition Support.
Dan completed a PhD in performance science and behaviour change at Liverpool John Moores University followed by three-years of post-doctoral research alongside his applied roles. Successfully combining his applied and research roles, his work was awarded with the SENr Professor Clyde Williams OBE Award for Research and Innovation in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. He maintains a research presence supervising PhD researchers at Liverpool John Moores University.
