Applying for practitioner registration if you are a HCPC registered Dietitian

As a qualified and HCPC registered Dietitian you are able to join the SENR register with a Post-Graduate Certificate (60 Credits at Level 7) in sports and exercise nutrition. Other applicants are required to have completed a full Masters (180 Credits) in addition to their undergraduate degrees. This reduced requirement for Dietitians is reflective of the study that you have undertaken in order to meet the requirements of the HCPC.

As part of your PG Cert you will need to have completed the following core modules:

  • Sport and Exercise Nutrition
  • Exercise Physiology / Biochemistry
  • Measurement and Evaluation (nutritional assessment)

Step one: Join the BDA as a full member

As a HCPC Registered Dietitian you must have full BDA membership in order to be able to join the SENR. You can find out more information about joining the BDA here.

Once you have joined the BDA as a full member you can apply for SENR registration below. You will need to complete a form and provide evidence of your qualifications to apply. You will not be able to use the online application process.
