The BDA has partnered with Due Diligence Checking Ltd to provide BDA members with a Vetting and Barring Scheme. This will enable you, as a member of the BDA, to obtain an enhanced DBS Disclosure (formerly CRB).
This service will benefit those members employed on a freelance, contracted or consultative basis, where they are required to provide a DBS check themselves, prior to employment. Individuals often face many difficulties in obtaining an enhanced DBS check, and this service is intended to support members with this process.
You can join the scheme by emailing a completed application form to us at [email protected] (these step-by-step instructions detail the full process).
The cost for an enhanced DBS Disclosure is £61.60 which includes the £40.00 DBS fee and £18.00 + VAT administration fee. The administration fee includes processing and is paid directly to DDC, and the returning of identity documents via Royal Mail Tracked Delivery. Payment can be made online when you receive access to your online DBS form.
