The BDA is the largest association of food and nutrition professionals in the UK and is the only body in the UK representing the whole of the dietetic workforce.
BDA membership is open to all dietetic professionals both UK-based and overseas, including registered dietitians and dietetic support workers/assistants, dietetic students, qualified nutritionists/sports nutritionists and those with an occupational interest in food and nutrition.
Dietitians who are currently registered, previously registered or eligible for registration with the HCPC can join the BDA as Full Members.
The BDA membership community supports the whole dietetic workforce. Join hundreds of other support staff in being an Associate member of your professional community.
Dietetic students studying a dietetics course at (or partnered with) an approved UK institution, which when they qualify, leads to becoming a registered dietitian, can apply for BDA student membership.
Qualified sports nutritionists are able to join the BDA as an SENR member.
Nutritionists who have undertaken a recognised degree in nutrition, and dietitians trained overseas who are not eligible for HCPC registration can join as a BDA Affiliate member.
Those who have undertaken recognised training in nutrition and dietetics overseas can join the British Dietetic Association as an International member.
Those with an occupational interest in nutrition and dietetics, support the aims of the BDA, and are not eligible for any other membership category, can join as BDA Alliance members.
